February 29th- Starting off the uniqueness of this year is Leap Day. Why not take the day off to celebrate and be thankful for all the past four years have brought you or taught you. (You could even wear blue and yellow in honor of Leap Year William 😉)

March 9th-  Indonesia and Malaysia will be prime spots to witness the Total Solar Eclipse.

April 23, 2016 will be the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death in Stratford-upon-Avon and London, U.K. Events will be going on throughout the year to celebrate his life’s work.

April 1st, 2016- March 31st, 2017- Uluru Australia will hold the Field of Light, a solar powered light art installation.

Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2016. The Setouchi Art Festival occurs only once every three years, so try to make it to this spectacular Art Festival if you can.

May 9th-  The Transit of Mercury will occur and will be visible to many Trekkers out there through a telescope from your own backyard. Make an evening of it by camping out in your own backyard. Also, closer to home, is the 90th anniversary of Route 66, so get out and tour the beautiful U.S.A.

August 5-21st – Rio de Janeiro will be the next Summer Olympic Games. There are sure to be some fantastic parties during the games.

November 8th- In Washington D.C. the United States will be the next presidential elections, which is sure to be an interesting time for all.

December 8-18-  Last, but certainly not least, the FIFA World Cup will be held in Japan.
